As an agent working in Sotogrande I find it wonderful to see Grandparents who move to the area planning a life in the sun and making provision for the extended family to enjoy the lifestyle. Recently a client sold their waterside penthouse apartment simply to buy a villa with garden so that the grandchildren could come and enjoy the location with them.

It seems that Joseph & Tanya Kettle realized soon after moving here that it was easier for them to fly the family here to Sotogrande and spend time outdoors in the sunshine having fun instead of traveling back to UK and often spending time stuck indoors watching the rain.

Its nice that since now they bought the villa they see more of the family than ever before. Where once it was the odd visit for to their home in Surrey for a weekend often cancelled due to busy social lifestyles, now the family plans its yearly trips to spend time at Easter, Christmas and of course the Summer. The teenage grandchildren love Sotogrande having made new friends last year. Josephs son also sneaks over on his own for several long weekends to play golf with his father and his fathers golfing freinds at his golf club.

'Buying the Villa has been the best move we have ever made' says Joseph. 'We had started to think our family was going in different directions and we were seeing them less and less. Now here in Spain we eat play and laugh together and I believe we are all a lot closer as a result of moving. Its the best retirement we could have wished for.'
